I'll probably develop this further, using additional canvases to show how he gets the bone, perhaps even a series of the many ways. However this is all for now, since I've my fingers in many other pies.

This is heading off to Rapid City '09, along with a couple of other pieces :)

6" by 6" by 1.5", stretched canvas, edition of one.

I do like this piece, very good stencilling, simple, and effective, though I don't find this piece as striking as some of your pieces and I think it's the grey in the background, quite dull and sort of fades into the black eventhough there are noticabky two different shades, though I'm not saying grey and black shiould not be combined in the same piece, not that additional colours are needed of those two colours are used either, and maybe in this piece you wanted to create a certain mood, maybe calming, of course I'm assuming maybe as you have produced similar imagery for your nightmares/dreams theme, but either way, a good job :)

Aye, it's neither as conceptually strong or as detailed as previous works, especially compared to recent stuff. I am slowly producing a design for a wider canvas, that'll feature many more hungry dogs. I will definitely consider the contrast between background and foreground even more carefully in future. Thank you, miss ; )

I know concept can be very important when producing art, stencils and especially in graphic design, but sometimes., if something is aesthetically striking, the concept is not as important and can be shadowed by the look of the piece. you usually tend to use striking colours like shock yellow, etc but yeah maybe you felt like a change this time, not sure. i know you are fond of those dogs, they are nice characters you have developed, what i like about your characters, such as Elbert is that they feel like real people to me not just flat graphics, they seem to have a personality and feelings and thoughts like us human beings, your style of drawing is also very expressive it makes them come alive :)

Exactly, what's the point of creating a character if it doesn't seem real and come alive. I'm pleased you can see that, I'm proud of them too and they're very much alive to me in my ol' head of mine.My stencil work is much more thought out and 'designed', whereas Elbert, and the like, are much more free, impulsively expressive pieces :)
