This was by far the biggest bitch of a piece I've had the fortune of painting so far. The technical skill required with this piece was way and above that of 'Dopeness Means Robots' just with the amount of individual scenes and techniques.

I had some fun in Bristol as part of UpFest '09, painting on a bar-slash-boat alongside some great people and good friends. I'll get pictures of other stuff up soon.

I forget how big the area was, around 8ft by 6ft (which, may I add, was 2ft wider than I had asked for), used over 70 stencils and spent a good 8-9 hours getting it all done. The buff marks were painted with masking tape stuck to the board, trimmed away appropriately and then sprayed on.

My favourite bit? The pigeon on the paint that's tipped over. Why? I've not a clue but it's just such a calm scene amongst a jumble of buffing and bustle.

In hindsight, I'd have focused the colour scheme much more, painted in a smaller area (or stenciled more buffers) and used a white colour instead of grey for the buff paint and figures' silhouettes.

It's safe to say I'm sick of and don't want to cut or spray any of my buffer characters for the time being.

It was a good day.
